What is a flash mob?
A flash mob or flashmob is an activity of performance art or social experiment which occurs when a group of people all converge suddenly and seemingly at random upon a pre determined public place and dance, sing, or otherwise act in unison in a performance for a short time before dispersing as quickly as they gathered.
Flash mobs are organised via mobile phones, email, and predominantly using social media platforms. Sometimes these performances can occur with little to no rehearsal or preparation prior to the event.
